How to give back a refund.
I paid for two items. When the thick bubble envelope came I dumped the contents on my bed. There were five items and only one I had ordered. I thought it was an order meant for someone else so I messaged the seller and went offline. Much later before bed I came online to check my messages.
The seller had actually sent the extra items as gifts and thought she had mailed both items I ordered. The envelope was thrown away but still in the house so I checked it again. When I tore open the package it was an irregular tear so the small necklace in plastic was stuck to the inner plastic under the tear. When I came back to message her I found she had already issued a refund. I sent a message explaining the situation and asked how I could give her the refund back, even offering to buy and item that she doesn't have to send. It's been nearly 24hrs and no response.
I must give her the money back but I have no idea how to do that. It's extremely frustrating that you have to go through AI chat to deal with an uncommon issue. I tried, explaining the issue. It does not have an option for my problem so I cannot speak with a human who may be able to help. It was my mistake , I have to fix it. But I'm sent to community that has no power to help get her money back to her.
I truly appreciate eBay, it's been a huge blessing, but it's getting more and more difficult to deal with lately.
First I can't leave feedback for many items because I won't be forced into being a reviewer, search is a mess filled with too many things not asked for, and now AI is gate keeping. If the goal is to chase away small sellers and lose buyers then someone with a degree but no practical experience and doesn't shop on eBay is doing fine job.

·1 year agoAsk the seller to send you an invoice through PayPal, and you can pay through that. They cannot invoice you through eBay at this point.
