If you are using a mobile browser and you go to ebay.com, most likely you will see the page in mobile mode.
If you scroll to the bottom of the page while in mobile mode, you should see a link to the "Classic Site" version of the page, which looks a bit more like the desktop version, only optimized for a small screen.
Not all pages render properly in Classic mode, though, and you may find your browser dropping back into mobile mode.
You can also choose Desktop Mode in most browsers, which should act like the desktop version of eBay. Once you open a browser tab in desktop mode, your tab should stay in that mode and as long as you open links in that browser tab, it should remain in desktop mode.
