how to get my item returned if buyer wants a refund
It's happened twice now. I sell marbles, and twice, the buyers have claimed that the marbles are not made by the company I identified, or the casual name that I used, even though they had full physical descriptions and photos. Fine, I see where we can disagree. Full refunds issued, but the marbles were never returned. One purchase was for nearly $500, so the buyer gets his money back AND gets to keep the marbles? (which still have value, this is a disagreement on symantics!) How can I insist that the product be returned before refunded?

Mentor6 months agoYou DO NOT refund until you get the item back. When the buyer files a returns request, you accept. ebay then sends the buyer a prepaid shipping label to return the item. When tracking shows Delivered back to you, you have 2 days to refund the buyer. If no refund, the buyer Asks ebay to step in, and ebay will then refund the buyer from your funds.
If you refund right away, that tells ebay that you do not want the item back. Since you do want the item back, you will need to contact the buyer and let him know you want the item back and will send a shipping label for him to do so. You can go to pirateship.com, to print the label (saving it as a JPG) and attach it to an ebay message.
