How to get eBay to step in?

I have an item that does not accept returns that is faulty. The seller set to let eBay resolve it, but I do not have the option on the item for eBay to step in. Does anyone know how to contact eBay as the AI assistant was worthless?

@stwocams You can not ask eBay to step in until the 4th Business Day. Has it been that long since you opened the case? The seller is being silly since they will still have to refund you out of their pocket and will get a serious Defect on their account.

How to ask us to step in

Find the item in your Purchases.
Select See request details (if your item didn't arrive) or See return details (if you're trying to return an item).
Select Ask eBay to step in and help.
Select a reason from the dropdown menu, then select Confirm.

Return requests must be filed within 30 days of the date of delivery to have the option to ask eBay to step in and help.

Cases only stay active for 21 business days. After that you can't ask eBay to step in and help.

Your only option now is a chargeback with your bank or credit card.
