How to get buy.order.readonly scope approval for a private, non-EPN application?
Hello,
I am trying to get production access for the https://api.ebay.com/oauth/api_scope/buy.order.readonly scope for a private, personal application.
My only goal is to read my own purchase history (mainly to easily access tracking numbers, which are now harder to find in the order update emails).
The Problem: My OAuth (Authorization Code Grant) flow works perfectly in Sandbox. In Production, it fails with an invalid_scope error.
My Research: I've confirmed the scope is not assigned to my production keyset by default. The documentation states that Buy APIs are a "Limited Release" and require approval through:
The eBay Partner Network (EPN)
An Application Growth Check (AGC)
The Conflict: The EPN process is for public, affiliate "business models". My app has no business model; it is strictly for my personal use.
My Question: Is there an alternative path for a private, non-commercial app to get read-only access to its own buyer data? Or is this "private buyer tool" use case simply not supported in Production?
