How to get a Confirmation for a Charitable Donation made through eBay during the Checkout Process?
Hello eBay Community! As I've just learned through experience that it is seemingly IMPOSSIBLE to get in touch with a live agent by attempting to use eBay's chat support, I wanted to see if anyone has learned of a means of obtaining a confirmation for charitable donations made during eBay's checkout process? I checked everywhere for this within my account, including under "Purchase History," and could not find it. Though I did notice that a specific eBay user ID (ostensibly the user that approached eBay in order to solicit donations for the charity) is linked to the donation I made, which is interesting, but when I click on the user ID, no information is provided about the user (it's almost as though it is a ghost profile), and no means of contacting the user to request a confirmation of the donation is provided.
So my goals in reaching out to the eBay Community about this are: (1) to learn if it is possible for a user to either look up or solicit an official confirmation after making a donation to a charity when checking out, and (2) to confirm beyond doubt that such donations made during the checkout process are in fact legitimate, meaning that eBay should either provide proof or provide the user with some means of verifying that the donated funds were in fact received by the charity, rather than having to take it on faith that the user that set up the solicitation of donations on the charity's behalf by means of the eBay checkout process is following through and sending the donated funds to the charity as intended.
Thank you all for your time and input in helping to clarify this for me and other users that might share the same concern!
