how to get a buyer to return my item when he has already been refunded.
I sold a pair of boots in December and they did not fit the buyer. I usually do not accept returns but I noticed some confusing wording about the size in my post so I accepted the return. The money was made available to the customer, but I have never received the boots back. We have had cordial messages back and forth, but he says he doesn't know how to return them. How do i contact Ebay to have them sort this out? All I can find are articles that don't address my question, or a robot that says the transaction is closed. Can I contact a human that will solve this? I don't know if this guy just doesn't know how to use ebay or what, but I should either get my money back or my boots. I have never had this problem in the years of using Ebay, and I don't think I will ever accept another return again if this is what I can expect.
I am frazzled, is there anyone out there who can advise me?

Always get the item back and then refund the buyer. Once a refund is issued there is no motivation for the buyer to return the item and you can no longer provide an eBay label.

You can send the buyer a return shipping label in eBay messages as a JPEG. Buy the label on Pirateship.com. They refund you for the label if it's not used within 30 days. They charge the same commercial base rates as eBay.
