How to fix a listing removed for being "offensive"

Question

One of our recent listings was removed for being "offensive'.

There was absolutely no intension to offend anyone.

The Title was as follows:

VTG Old Japan Man & Woman Chefs Salt & Pepper Shakers

Several images of the items were included showing the Black man and Black woman holding utensils in chef uniforms along with images of holes showing they were indeed salt and pepper shakers.

I'm not being allowed to upload any images.

How can the title be worded so as to not cause offense?

There are multiple listing of vintage figurines of Black men and women on eBay.

Salt and Pepper Shakers shaped like Black People are often a caricature and not allowed on eBay.

Example - many shakers show a 'mammy' shaker. Those are an offensive caricature.

I know you didn't mean to be offensive and this isn't the answer you want to hear. You can find other marketplaces where you can sell these items.

Even though you may see other listings, it doesn't mean the item is allowed.

âœ“ The other listings you see are like the cars speeding by on the highway. Many will get "pulled over by eBay"... their listing will get pulled down before or after the sale, and they get a serious warning on their account. Or, their account will be closed.

I know it is hard to understand when you see the listings but trust me, sellers who violate policies do get caught.
