How to dispute a fraudulent charge made by an eBay merchant

Question

I noticed on my credit card today that on the same day that I made a purchase on eBay from a merchant a separate merchant also made a charge against my account. I have their account number which should I do to dispute discharge and get my money returned without having to close my credit card down.

Did you make the one purchase from your Cart, while there was another item in it? If you did you may have missed the Pay All sellers notice and paid for another item in the cart as well. Go to your Purchase history and look to see if you did buy two items on the day you made the purchase you wanted to. The order dates are shown on the left above the photo or item titles. You should not save items to the cart unless you will buy it soon after. If you are only buying one item at a time from a seller, you can pay directly from a listing, and do not have to place it in the cart to pay. Items you are only considering buying should be placed into your Watch list until you are sure you want it. Saving items to the cart does not reserve them for you.
