How to deal with harassment?
Summary: thoughtfulportland expressed frustration over a buyer leaving negative feedback as a form of retaliation stemming from a previous dispute where eBay intervened against the buyer. They found eBay's automated system unhelpful in resolving the issue and sought advice on how to reach a human for a proper review. rfmtm suggested using separate IDs for buying and selling and provided links for contacting eBay through chat or Instagram for further assistance.
I have a person posing as a buyer just to leave me negative feedback. He was the seller in a transaction that went south, and eBay had to step in to resolve because he would not, and now he is getting revenge on me by purchasing a low cost item and immediately leaving negative feedback. I am a young store, so it has an outsized influence on my feedback.
I've requested through standard eBay channels for the feedback to be removed, but their automated system is not providing relief. It's amazing to me because the situation is so cut and dry. His comments are clearly harassment, and no product was ever shipped, so they don't even make any sense, but eBay won't resolve in my favor.
How do I get through to a human to do a real review of this, and get relief? Its driving me nuts.
