How to contact eBay re seller who sold unusable item.
Purchased used AirPods. Listing stated 'no returns', but it was represented as excellent condition and NOT 'as is'. AirPod did not work, and Apple support said it was either defective or previous owner had not released it from prior pairing and there was nothing that could be done without that step having been taken. Contacted seller. Response was essentially 'I don't know what to do about it - the person I got it from told me it was good to go'. In other words, 'sorry, Charlie!"
Any reasonable person would understand that an item is going to work at the time of purchase. Who would sell something knowing it is unable to be used?
In any event, do I have a reasonable gripe here? And how do I go about reaching someone at eBay about this seller?

Ebay has a 30-day Money Back Guarantee for Buyer Purchase Protection. If it's been 30 days or less since delivery, you can open an Item Not as Described refund request. The Seller is required to respond.
If it's been more than 30 days, you could try to file a chargeback with your payment company. They also have deadlines.

Mentor1 year agoYou have 30 days from the date of delivery to open an “item not as described caseâ€. This overrides the sellers return policy. Go to your Purchase History and find the item. Then under “More actions†click on “Return item†and then select the reason for the return as “doesn't match description". It may ask you to attach a photo so the seller and eBay can see what was received. After this time has passed you would have to go to your payment source to see what help they can give.
