How to contact Ebay human agent on the chat?
I bought a server. I paid around $1100.00 for it. It was delivered in our address in Miami with missing important parts and physical damages. The server does not turns on. It is a scrap computer. But I noticed that when the server arrived to our headquarter outside of the US.
I contacted the seller and tried to work out the issue with them, but they do not want to help so much. They told the will fully refund if we returned the server. But they only pay for the return shipping from Miami and no more than that. As the server (computer) is currently out of the US we have to pay for the import fees. We requested a quote and return it to Miami will cost us aroung $1300,00. This significantly increases our losses. Even if the seller refunds us 100% of what we paid for the server, we'd lose more than a thousand dollars.
We explained all of this to the seller and they offered us a refund of only $100 if we kept a useless server that wasn't even worth spare parts. It's very unfair, since the seller sent us a broken and incomplete device from the start.
How do I escalate the issue to eBay so they can intervene and get a larger refund? We're only seeking a fairer partial refund that reduces our loss. Is it possible to ask eBay for help? How do I contact them? I've only been able to chat with an automated system, not a live agent.
Many thanks in advance.
