How to contact ebay, and get a human assistant?
Hi, I'm going slightly demented here, I've been a member since 1999, then last year had trouble when my old faithful email address became obsolete, and had to get a new one, oh what fun! Trying to contact ebay to sort this was unbelievable, as it constantly sent replies to my dead email, even though I changed it on my account. Now I need to use a different tablet, both Amazon kindles, and I forgot my password, so used the "guest" option on two occassions, then I followed all the instructions, to change my password and after many attempts, I finally got onto my account, but for some reason it's not showing up as my original account, with my original user name, and not showing all my vast purchase history, so today I signed in again, and got "oops, that doesn't match" it had the option to "switch accounts" which I did, and up came my original user name, yippee!! Not! As when I put in my password, I got "oops, does not match", so, change the password again, but using the same one, and finally get into my account, but still no full purchase history, and I have an item to chase up, but in trying to get my messages, I was asked to sign in again, and verify myself with sets of pictures, to prove I'm human, well I am, but now a near bald one, as I'm pulling my hair out. I've tried to get a real assistant, but to no avail, only that annoying demented technical computerised twit. Does anyone out there, know how to contact real help, human, as I can give all my details, and maybe get my original 25 year old account sorted. Huge thanks to anyone who can?

OP2 years agoHi again, I used the link, so thank you very much for that, and after 75 minutes, 6 agents, because I kept getting cut off once the specialist team came on, I finally got the reply, " cancel your most recent account" and conversation ended, so now I hope I don't hit more trouble cancelling the second account. But at least with your help I have achieved a result, so grateful thanks from an "old bird".

Mentor2 years agoYou seem to be signed in to your account at the moment, though you are on ebay.com rather than ebay.co.uk.
I am not sure if all Kindles support the eBay app or if the built-in Silk browser is compatible with eBay at the moment; if you can, try using a different browser to see if that helps.
For help in the UK, be sure to start on the UK site and use the contact link on the Help & Contact page.
To contact eBay, use the chat assistant to request a chat with an agent or a call back by starting on the Help & Contact page and following the links for your issue.
What options you see may depend on your particular issue and how busy that department is at the moment.
Try entering "agent" into the chat window. You may have to provide some context to reach the correct department. If you see a "Still need help?" or "More options" choice, either of those should lead to a call back option.
If nothing else works, try this UK link:
