How to contact Ebay about an item that states delivered, but it DID NOT ARRIVE!

Question

I received an empty envelope for an item I purchased. The USPS states it was delivered. YES! AN EMPTY PADDED ENVELOPE1 The seller did not pack the item properly. All I want is my money back for the item and the shipping. Seller does not answer emails via Ebay.

ebay programs the 'report an item that has not arrived' with a circular response, all it does it show the tracking page NO HELP AT ALL!

I used to be able to file a report with Ebay. Now the same thing to help with an item that has not arrived only circles back to a worthless tracking status. May be you need to hire better programmers.

Since you did receive "something", you can file a Return Request. Within 30 days from date of delivery, go to your Purchase History, find the item, and under â€œMore actionsâ€ click on â€œReturn itemâ€ and select the reason for the return. â€œdoesn't match descriptionâ€œ. Attach a photo of the envelope. The seller will have 3 business days to either accept the return and provide a prepaid return shipping label OR refund without having you return the item. If they don't do either, you can go back to your Return Request details 4 business days after you filed the Request and ask Ebay to step in.

Locate the item. Click on RETURN THIS ITEM because it is Not as Described. You did not purchase an empty envelope. You will need to click on More to see that option. The seller will need to provide a prepaid shipping label for its return. Print out the label, affix it to the envelope, and have the counter clerk scan the label. When tracking shows DELIVERED back to the seller, the seller needs to refund you within 2 days. If no refund, go back to the case and click on Ask ebay to step in, to force the refund.

Actually, you do not need to contact eBay at this point. You purchased something and received a package with nothing in it, that is definitely Not as described.

Job one is to process a return claim through eBay ... the following should help. Be sure to include a picture of the envelope mailer with the open end or whatever part was opened.

You are protected by the eBay Money Back Guarantee for 30 days from the date of receipt: eBay Money Back Guarantee policy

Go to the item in your Purchase history and file a RETURN using the reason "Does not match pictures or description". eBay will issue you a pre-paid return shipping label regardless of the Seller's return policy. You return the item and the Seller will have 2 days to refund you. Failing that you go back to the claim and ask eBay to step in and force the refund.
