How to contact ebay
I need to talk to a human either by phone or by chat. I tried 7 times to have someone call me and no one did. Can I either chat with a human or call *them*? Thanks.

OP1 year agoThanks eastlaneave. I had to keep repeating "Agent" but eventually it got me through. My question was about what tariff I might have to pay on an item shipped from Canada to the US. Ebay told me that I'd have to commit to buying the item before I could find out how much tariff, if any, I'd have to pay.

I am glad you reached an agent.
Here is my current understanding.
If the item costs less than $800
and
the item was not made in China or Hong Kong
the purchase won't be subject to tariff due to the de mininis exemption.

You can ask questions right here to get an answer for many questions. Just reply with the question or start a new topic with specific title.
You can't call them, if you aren't getting a call back, it's very likely that the spam filter on your phone is blocking them.
You can chat with a real person though.

If you want a chat with eBay Customer Service, here is how:
Start at an article close to your question (you can look from here: https://www.ebay.com/help/home)
Scroll to the Bottom of the page similar to your question
1) Click "Contact Us" or the ? then:
In the CHAT WINDOW
2) Type "I need help"
3) Click "Selling" (or your topic)
4) Type "Agent" in the chat window
5) You may need to click "Something Else" or "More Options" or type "Agent" a few more times
6) Click "Chat with an Agent"

If you can't get the chat prompt, use eBay's social media customer service to get assistance
