How to contact Customer Service?
I've been having site issues for weeks with constant pop-ups, captchas several times a day, etc. I've provided feedback but nothing has been fixed. How do I contact Customer Service to have them escalate these issues?

Mentor5 months agoSome things to consider, if you have not already done so:
Try another browser. Possibly something about your browser is causing problems for eBay, such as a blocked or corrupt cookie. If another browser gives fewer issues, try manually deleting just your eBay cookies. Some browsers are better than others at dismissing popups like the app popup.
VPNs, hotspots and Starlink networks can also cause issues, but it does not sound like you are using those. Some security software such as Ghostery or Disconnect can cause issues depending on the exact settings.
Sometimes security issues are triggered not by anything you are doing, but by something someone else is doing -- like trying to sign in to your account from another location. If that is the case, the extra verification may go away in time without you needing to do anything.
If you use a cable modem, try rebooting it once when you will not be using it for a while, like before you go to bed.

The reply by @gosimus , reminded me of another reason why your having the issue. Use of a browser and/or operating system cleaner that clears your temporary internet files and cookie cache. I use mine once a week and end up going through Captchas or other verification methods on many sites I use often.

I'm flattered that you remembered I said that I do that. 😀 My system preferences are set to delete the cookies when I exit an application. I've had that set for as long as I remember. But it's only occasionally, like every few months, that I get to choose which critters could reside in a birdhouse. And it hasn't happened anywhere except eBay . . . so far, at least, knock wood.

ebay's customer service call/chat lines are not set up to deal with tech issues on the site. They are actually manned by a hired 3rd party call/chat center's people.
If you use the App on a portable device (phone/tablet) try deleting it then reloading it. You may also want to try logging into eBay the classic way, with your username and password using your device's browser, instead of using the App to see if the issues continue.
Do you know if the problem started shortly after a new update to your device's operating system or its browser was uploaded? You may want to check for recent updates to the device or browser, then go online and search for issues with the update. example link below from my browser's update.

I do not use the App for my ebay activities but did notice yesterday that my phone had a new update installed on it, and haven't checked it out for issues yet. I always wait a few days to see if any glitches are reported for the update.

To get back to that page to check for answers, From the Community Home page, hover over the Buying & Selling header and from the drop down menu click on Report ebay technical issues. If you do not see it on the first page try the second one.

I'm logged into my laptop (I'm one of the odd people that don't use their phone much), so I do everything on my laptop. My laptop has been rebooted several times and my browser cache cleared.

Are the pop-up you see advertisements? If so, you may have a malware on your computer.
Can you tell me more about that?
Captcha's are normal, and sometimes it seems you have to do them often, then it stops.

OP5 months ago2 things are constant: 1-Pop ups for eBay app coupon that pops-up on every single page I click on ebay. Every page. It never stops. And there is nothing to click on the pop-up to stop showing / not interested.
2-I am getting constant captchas when I'm logged into my account. I will get 10 captchas a day. I am logged into my account, from the same IP address that I've used for years. I don't know why I'm even getting these.

Me, too, same username, same IPA for years, many years. And, like you, I've had the experience of getting a spate of CAPTCHA pages, seems like within the last couple/few months: it happens every time I log in, and sometimes when all I do is navigate to a different page. They're transitory, but I haven't made measurements to determine if they're cyclic. I tolerate them resignedly, until they finally stop . . . until next time. Just know that you aren't alone.
