how to contact an eBay customer service representative person

I'm having great difficulty returning an item. I can't seem to find the purchase record in my account even though I have the order number. When I tried using the automated customer service online I was able to type in my problem but was unable to find a submit or send button to send this information to eBay. what the heck is going on? Why can't I make a phone call and speak to someone?

Is it possible you made the purchase using a different eBay account? Try signing in to that account, then see if the transaction appears in your purchase history or among the recent orders here:

Is it possible you made the purchase as a guest?

Guest orders are not connected to your eBay account; for help with a guest order you must first sign out of your existing eBay account and then use the "order details" link in the email that you received from eBay regarding the guest order, or else right click on the link and choose to open the link in a private or incognito browser window.
