How to contact an agent - GOT HOLD OF THEM - closed
The link in Post 3 is how I finally got through.
I need help changing the reason for return. I did not go through the whole return process, so there's no case. When I try to start a return for the item, the system does not go back to reason for return, but starts again where I left of initially. How can I get in contact with a real person to help with this? The idiot AI is useless in this case.
Thanks much.

I was concerned when I saw your link was to an article published in 2016, as eBay has changed the contact routine several times since then; but the last update in 2024 was apparently recent enough to have some good info and pictures.

Any difference if you try starting the return again in another browser?
To contact eBay, use the chat assistant that you reach from the Help & Contact page to request a chat with an agent or a call back.
What options you see may depend on your particular issue and how busy that department is at the moment.
Try entering "agent" into the chat window. You may have to provide some context to reach the correct department. If you see a "Still need help?" or "More options" choice, either of those should lead to a call back option.
