Hello Community, How to change my ebay store url ? I went to personal information area to update my new store name, but the store URL keep the previous name. Please help. ThanksJoe

There is no option to simply change the URL

You would have to actually close your store and open a new one to get a new URL. You would want to choose a time to minimize any store cancellation penalty. eBay will hold the old name for 30 days (in case you change your mind about closing your store). So that means you would not be able to use that name on your new store for 30 days.

That leaves three options, depending on your preferences:

1) Close your store and open a new store with a new name. That will carry the new URL.

2) Close your store. Wait 30 days. Open a new store with the same name, and the URL will now match.

3) Rename your store with a placeholder name. Wait 30 days so that the old name becomes available. Close the store with the placeholder name. Then immediately open a new store with the name and URL that you want.

A store URL will have all of the punctuation removed to create a single word. So "Charlie's Car Parts" will become "charliescarparts".

Similarly, "Charlie S. Carp Arts" will become "charliescarparts".

Keep that in mind when trying to get a matching URL, or when selecting a new store name.

When you close your store, all of your listings, sales history, feedback, and watchers will remain alive and well. When you open a new store, your listings will automatically import into your new store, but you may need to set up your store categories again.
