how to change feedback that I left for a buyer
I accidentally left the wrong feedback for 2 of my buyers and can't find a way to delete or change it. I did a followup apologizing for the error, but I'd like to delete it because I know how I'd feel if it happened to me as a seller. I tried ebay chat but can't get anyone to call. The best I can get from ebay is to send them an email and they'll respond in a day. Anyone know if I can edit the feedback that I left for a buyer? Thanks!

OP2 years agoThank you all for your thoughtful responses. I always let Ebay do the cancelling when a buyer doesn't pay but it's frustrating when the transactions keep showing up on the list to leave feedback and there's no way to delete it. It gets confusing when the first page of transactions awaiting feedback are for items that were not completed transactions due to buyer cancellation or non-payment. I'll contact ebay to get all of them removed because I definitely don't want to be in violation. Thank you all again for your help.

You may want to consider switching your items to Buy it now with Immediate payment required. A lot of what I see you are running Auction format will sell as Buy it now. I sell a lot Auction style but in Collectible categories and have a very low UPI rate from customers.
You would have to End your Auctions OR when they end naturally change from Auction to Buy it now what you Relist them. They will stay as Buy it now Relisting automatically each month on the day they were Listed.

Mentor2 years agoHi again @pattipas
I just checked back on this thread of yours and read the replies from @house*of*paws and @gosimus .
As a Seller you are in violation of eBay's policy that Sellers cannot leave Positive Feedback with a negative comment.
Hopefully you cancelled those transactions AFTER 4 days and used the reason "Buyer hasn't paid" so the Buyers get Unpaid item strikes on their accounts??? You can also use the Report Buyer link on the transactions. This is the responsibility of Sellers in alerting eBay of an issue with a Buyer.
Unpaid items will remain on your Feedback flow for 90 days, I know, I've timed it and I still have one I have to look at every time I go to leave FB. I advised eBay of this last year yet the issue remains. A completed transaction, like an Unpaid item, should be removed from the Leave FB list so that a delinquent Buyer does not accidentally receipt a Positive FB.

Mentor2 years agoHi @pattipas
Every one of the 7 ‘Buyer hasn’t paid’ feedbacks you’ve left (on the first page of your feedback profile) violates eBay policy. [The ‘Buyer cancelled’ feedback probably does as well.]
You can contact eBay and ask them to remove ALL of the 7-8 comments … explaining that you were unaware you were violating policy.
OR you can ask the buyer(s) to contact eBay and ask that the comment you left them be removed.

I know. Sellers can leave only positive feedback for buyers. Positive feedback cannot be revised.
However, you included a negative comment in a positive (green donut) feedback. This is a policy violation. If you will notify Customer Service, they should remove it. I say "should" because I can't guarantee what CS will do.

Mentor2 years agoHi @pattipas
If you leave Positive Feedback and those are Buying accounts I am not aware of any Feedback revisions Buyers are permitted to send. Selling accounts allow 5 Feedback revision forms per year. But those are to change less than Positive to Positive Feedback.
I suspect if you also message both customers they will probably understand.
