How to change completed transaction to local pick-up instead of shipping?

I purchased from a seller who happens to be in my own town. Rare and unusual indeed. A first for both of us. I paid the total with shipping since "local pick-up" wasn't an option. (Prior to purchase the seller agreed to allow pick up and refund the shipping charge in person). After purchase it is wanting him to create a shipping label and we can't figure out how to modify terms. As per ebay we aren't supposed to share personal contact info and can only communicate through ebay messages. Is there...

-The transaction cannot be changed from Shipping to Local Pick up once it is paid for.

-The path of least resistance is for you to message the Seller and ask for a cancellation, they can cancel the order without a penalty if they use the reason "Buyer requested" the cancellation.

-They can then Relist the item with Local pick up, you can purchase it again and arrange the pick up. You will be given a QR code and a 6 digit code, either can be used a the pick up meaning the Seller either scans the code or you give them the 6 digit code if they don't use their phone for eBay business.
