How To Cancel Sale
I sold a chair (auction) and it sold for very cheap and buyer still has not paid but someone else is offering more money now. Will eBay allow me to cancel the order? If not, what will be the penalty for not shipping out the item to the original buyer? Is it just bad practice to try and cancel something after an agreements already been made? Or should money take priority?

·1 year agoThe winner has 4 calendar days to pay. If s/he hasn't paid by the 5th midnight Pacific Time, go into your list of sold items and for that one select to cancel for non-payment. Then you can relist (with Best Offer so the offeror can make you the offer you want to accept).

The auction just ended yesterday.
You cannot back out of the sale without serious repercussions from Ebay & the buyer. You must wait until 4 days have passed before cancelling due to non-payment.
Sellers are required to ship to the buyer when they receive the notification of payment from Ebay.
YOU are the one that chose the starting/minimum bid price. If this was regarding the chair, your starting bid price was $4.00, so if you had just one bidder then you would have been required to sell it for $4.00.
