How to bypass unproductive interactions with automated chatbot in order to engage with a live agent?
I have been communicating with ebay chatbot for three days, in hopes of connecting with a live representative through the chat feature, but unfortunately, I have not been successful. The chatbot's functionality seems to be restricted to a few basic algorithms, rendering it quite ineffective. The only option provided by the bot was to request a callback. I have chosen this option three times, yet no one has reached out to me. Is there any possibility of speaking with a live person through the chat?

You may be better off asking your question here to get suggestions from experienced users.
If you are unable to get a call back, try contacting eBay via social media direct message:

OP9 months agoThank you for your insights. The Facebook Chat feature was functional, although responses were coming with significant delays, resembling the pace of traditional email exchanges. It appears that eBay's direct customer interaction may be experiencing challenges, potentially due to a reduction in live representatives. This strategy could lead to greater losses, as prospective buyers may gravitate toward platforms that offer more customer-centric support. While I cannot speak for others, I will certainly opt for a marketplace that prioritizes more friendly communication in the future, especially when prices are comparable.
