How to block digital bunt cards from a search?
Digital bunt cards are not real cards in hand. They need to be in their own category and not in with the real in hand cards. I’ve experienced the problem of purchasing digital blunt cards by mistake because while doing a search and selecting ending soonest you may not have time to read the entire description about a card. If I can select [ Block bunt digital ] then I won’t have the problem. I’ve had to request a refund from those sellers and apologize for the mistake. I’ve known of sellers, refusing to refund the entire purchase. If you’re doing a search for bunt digital cards, you can put that in as a search and they’ll come right up but you can’t do the opposite. Example: type in 2023 topps cosmic chrome, red flare, and you will see a whole bunch of digital cards come up with the non digital bunt cards.

Help me here, as I'm not proficient in cards, and I am on a browser, not a phone.
I went to the eBay home page and pasted "2023 topps cosmic chrome, red flare" into the search box. There were 96 items displayed. I then changed that to "2023 topps cosmic chrome red flare" and the same 96 items appeared.
Are any of those 96 items digital?
I then changed the search to "2023 topps cosmic chrome red flare -digital" and there were 89 items displayed. Could you confirm that removed the digital items?

OP2 years agoI believe most of the 96 cards displayed have the word digital or bunt somewhere in the caption of the card. This is why the digital/bunt need to be in their own category and not in with the real cards you can hold in your hand.
digital/ bunt cards are not cards but pictures of card that you pay for a picture to save in some account that requires a personal number to give the seller then the seller gets paid and then the picture is sent to that account number.
They’re not real cards, why mix them with the real card? With no way to block them when doing a search for real cards.

Digital cards do have their own category called NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens).
Sports Mem, Cards & Fan Shop > Sports Trading Cards > Sport Trading Card NFTs
https://www.ebay.com/b/Sport-Trading-Card-NFTs/262055/bn_7117709401
If you see a digital item that appears in a physical card category, like "Sports Trading Cards Singles", you can report the listing for being in the wrong category.
However, when you open the listing, look at the bread crumbs (path) above the listing to make sure it is not already in the NFT category before reporting it. If your search is returning items that are correctly listed in an NFT category, you may need to modify your search terms, as shown by @eburtonlab , or you may need to select filters on the left menu (as viewed on a desktop below).

OP2 years agoShipscript thank you for that information. I wish I could say it helps to the point of resolving my issue. To tell you the truth I’ve never heard of NFTs nor do I see as you put it, bread crumbs (path) or the left menu. This could be because I use an iPad but I’m not sure. The only options I see are sort and refine. NFTs are not in the options.
I did poke around and I do see a way to report the listings. This would require that I take the time to open each digital bunt listing and follow the steps. I really don’t want to spend a bunch of time trying to correct sellers nor am I looking to be eBay police. I just want to block one delete any listing the are digital bunt so I don’t continue to make the mistake of purchasing pictures of cards that I want to own in my hand.
I thank you again for your information. I do appreciate your assistance but I guess I’ll just continue to request a refund when I make a mistake in purchasing a digital bunt.
Happy spring!

The "left menu" is currently missing in many types of desktop search -- some sort of eBay glitch. Are you using some keywords to start a search? If so, follow the advice from @eburtonlab to exclude "digital" items by using -digital as a search word. Click the link he provided (below).
