How to Block a Category. I want to search for Kindle 11th generation but not Accessories/Cases
Title pretty much says it. I want to create and save an advance search that looks for all 11th general Kindle Readers, but NOT give feedback on the auctions for 11th Gen Kindle accessories, cases, screen protectors, etc...
I can eliminate specific words, but cannot find where they moved to ignore at least on category. I know I used to used that feature in the past.

·3 years agoYou select the "Tablets & eBook Readers" category in the left column of the Search Results rather than try to set it up in Advanced Search:

OP3 years agobasically I am just looking for low $$$ kindles I can enter into the my sniper list. I was able to snag one for $30 2 weeks ago, and trying to find an easy way to find all low price (at the moment) Kindle Readers devices. Otherwise it is just so manually scrolling.
Maybe there is even a 3rd party search engine service that can offer a few extra advanced search options?

When using the "Price plus shipping: lowest first" sort, the results are filtered by default. Be sure to use the "See more results" link to avoid the filtering, or else use this link:

OP3 years agoI tried that.... and here appears to be the problem is the Accessories and Cover categories are under the Kindle Device category and it pulls from the whole category tree below the one category selected.
for example. Here is my search below where I ignore the word FIRE (so I don't get the table) and set the max price to $45, then I get all covers / screen protectors / plugs, etc....

No, that is incorrect. Both categories are under the Computers/Tablets and Networking category, and you can select one or the other category separately to see either readers or accessories, or select the parent category to see both.
The search you are linking is not limited to a particular category and pulls in results from any category because of that.
If you limit to just the reader category using the links on the left side of the page, you can avoid accessory results.

Mentor3 years agoIf you limit your results to the Tablets & eBook Reader category, you should avoid many accessory items unless they are listed in that specific category itself rather than the Accessories category.
