How to ask Ebay a question that is not covered by any of their AI chat bot pre-canned replies?
A seller is offering a really good deal on a "non-returnable" SSD pre-loaded macOS. If this is a bogus seller "low numbers" and the SSD is trash/dead AND if I bought the additional $5.99 warranty that Ebay is offering, will Ebay refund me?

OP4 months agoMuch appreciated. I just wish there was a contact link somewhere to get Ebay to put it in black and white in writing. Now that I think about it a bit more, Allstate is not the backup I thought it was going to be as the Seller will never issue the return label because they have listed it as, "no refunds".
This is where I need to talk to Ebay, what if I just send it back "certified return receipt" so they have to sign. I suppose the Seller could still say the SSD I sent back has been damaged/erased/etc...by me.
So I'm guessing you don't know of a contact link for Ebay, isn't there website that specializes in publishing these contact links? Thanks

Mentor4 months ago@rpet3376. The sellers return policy is only for buyers remorse returns such as changed mind, doesn't fit, found better price etc.
If the item is defective or otherwise not as described in the listing then you are covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee, no need to contact customer service as they will refer you to this page. https://www.ebay.com/help/policies/ebay-money-back-guarantee-policy/ebay-money-back-guarantee-policy?id=4210

The eBay Money Back Guarantee over rules the sellers return policy. You have 30 days from the date of delivery to file a not as described return request for most categories AND 3 days for Trading Cards and currency.
Here's what you need to do:
Open a return with the reason doesn't match description or photos.

Let me know if you need to return an item to another country as there are additional steps required. The seller pays return shipping for an item that is not as described no matter where they are located.

If it is not as described then you have 30 days from the date of delivery to file a refund request on eBay UNLESS they list as for parts or not working then you only have 3 days.
I do recommend avoiding deals that are too good be true so that your $$ are not tied up. I would not buy if they are located in another country as returns are much harder.
Allstate will refund you for the warranty if the item is returned within 30 days. You have to contact Allstate directly.
