How to add the allstate repair policy to an item purchased.
As I was reading the post about a specific leaf blower selling, along with it there was the option to buy a service repair plan just in case the blower fails to operate, breaks down or whatever else. I clicked on that box to accept it, then sent the offer to the seller. They accepted the offer and I was in the middle of paying for the item when I noticed the warranty was not added. I contacted the seller and explained what happened, asking them to apply the Allstate policy to the item and they told me they could not do that. They told me that I needed to contact Ebay for them to do it.
Ahh... contacting Ebay customer service is not as easy as it sounds... and my emails to them went unanswered. Does anyone out there know how I can apply the service policy to the item purchased? The blower has not arrived yet, but it was a used item, and according to the seller the blower was not tested for working ... I get that I can just return it if it doesn't work, but I want the policy to help me just in case it works for a day or two and then breaks down.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
