How the hell do you report on Ebay a seller that its lying about his location?
Getting sick and tired of this trend where seller pretend to be in one country while they are actually operating from another country, or they do operate from your country, but the product is located overseas even if they say they got stock!
I cannot find any way to notify Ebay... Are they somehow involved with the scam??? Why making it so hard to report dishonest seller??? Also I notice Amazon items sold on Ebay... Why bother? Go directly to Amazon and let Ebay die, if that is what Ebay want....
Edit: this is funny. I'm not allowed to use the word Amazon in the tag, but Ebay allows Amazon to sell here... LOL

Mentor2 years agoAmazon doesn't sell here, and sellers are not allowed to dropship from Amazon or other marketplace sites.

You can review a seller's country of registration on their feedback page while you are reading through the feedback comments other buyers are leaving. This will help you stay away from problem sellers.

OP2 years agoThat's rubbish! I just bought an item here on Ebay and it got delivered by Amazon Prime, still in the Amazon Prime bag!
If it didn't happened, I wouldn't have posted it!
There are sellers here that just move item from Amazon to here and charge a bit more than buying directly from Amazon. I can provide more details to the right channel if need it. That's why I asked if Ebay is involved in this as they still make money, but in the long run, it will kill Ebay for good...
In the link you posted, there is no option to report a seller that misrepresent the item location...
Please tell us what you’re reporting
1)You haven’t received your item
2)You’d like to return your item
3)The seller isn’t responding to you, or you need to ask eBay to step in and help
4)You want to cancel a purchase
5)The seller has violated one of eBay’s policies
Which one should I choose for the above issue?? Is it number 5?

Mentor2 years agoSellers are allowed to use Amazon to fulfill orders if the items in Amazon's warehouse belong to the seller already, but sellers are not allowed to purchase items from Amazon to deliver to their eBay buyers.
If you think the seller is violating that policy, pick option five and you will have the opportunity to explain that.

So, if that's the case, it is just simpler to go directly to Amazon and get a better price... It just doesn't make any sense, for Ebay to allow this to happen. Where would I find this policy that allows Ebay seller to sell product purchased on Amazon?

The policy is that eBay sellers are allowed to use Amazon Fulfillment to ship items the seller already owns that are stored in Amazon's warehouses, not that sellers can buy items on Amazon to ship to eBay buyers.

OP2 years agoI have just reported the seller, but I'm also trying to understand what you are saying here...
How do you know when the seller already owns the item? And even if he already owns it, didn't he purchase the item from Amazon in the first place?? How's that any different?

Sellers that are engaging in prohibited retail arbitrage do not advertise that, for obvious reasons. But there are usually indications if you are observant.

That is not prohibited; in that case the eBay seller is paying to ship the item via retail shipping, not drop-shipping at all.
Signs that a seller may be drop-shipping items from a retail site such as Amazon:
Examining seller feedback closely can often provide indications of that, as can noticing certain aspects of the seller's items for sale -- such as a limited assortment of multiple quantity listings that appear to have been copied at random from a catalog or other site, use of stock images, and free shipping of bulky items where it is not likely that an individual could pay for postage and still make money on the sale.

I didn't say it didn't happen, I said sellers are not allowed to dropship from Amazon, and I provided a link to the policy along with a link to report the seller so eBay can take action.
As advised by @eburtonlab , you would pick the report option #5, "The seller has violated one of eBay's policies."
