How people handle canceled bids
How are people handling bidders that cancel a bid and say that their "kid" did it. They got ahold of my phone and placed the bid or offer. I have had four in as many days. I canceled them due to I have made a mistake but I own up to it I say I missed up. Thanks for your input.

Mentor1 week ago@kctimewarp1 Requiring a payment method before a buyer places a bid or offer can discourage this type of behavior. I know it won't get rid of it completely though.
Be sure to cancel the bid as buyer requested. I would not cancel a bid with a reason that affected my account.
Have you set up your buyer requirements in account settings?
Click this link: https://www.ebay.com/bmgt/buyerrequirements Then block buyers with 2 or more unpaid items in 12 months.
Also block buyers in locations you do not ship to.
Then at the bottom of the screen look for buyer Payment Requirements put a check next to>>
Require buyers to provide a payment method before they place a bid.
Require buyers to provide a payment method before they make an offer.
These settings will cut down on your non paying buyer issues.
If you require a payment method before bidding AND allow Invoices then the buyer will have 7 days to keep bidding so you can combine shipping.
If you do not want to offer combined shipping then do NOT allow invoices and the buyer is charged one hour after the close of the auction.

Mentor1 week agoI usually block them as well. Unfortunately there is nothing you can do about it.

Mentor1 week ago@kctimewarp1 After you cancel the bidder's bid, you can place them on your blocked buyer list:

Mentor1 week agoI hardly do auctions these days; everything is set to a Buy It Now.
You could switch to Buy It Now with the Best Offer option and require immediate payment.
