How long does it usually take for USPS Refund

I have made my first sale on eBay. I was confused and accidently purchased 2 shipping labels, one from USPS Ground, the second from UPS Ground. I used the UPS label successfully and the customer has received and liked the shipment. I have received my funds for the sale. I did an immediate cancellation on the USPS Label which was for $71.75 and remains unused sitting on my desk. The cancellation request was made on September 7th. How long does it usually take for any notifcation or refund regarding this matter? Are cancellations for unused USPS shipping usually refunded? Thank you for any help.

It can take up to 21 days for USPS to verify it was not used and send the refund. You will receive a message once your refund is approved.
