How long does an item need to sit in the 'international hub' before it gets forwarded on?
I ordered an item from a seller in Miami. I am based in Belgium (Europe). The item was shipped from Miami to some 'international hub' in Illinois. It has been sitting there for 3 days now. What is 'normal' ? At what time do I start refund proceedings?
Is there even such a thing as an international hub for ebay in IL, or was I scammed?
Impossible to get help from ebay. Agents (behind the incredibly un-intelligent AI bot) only do call-backs and only to US numbers.
Any input is appreciated.

Go to your sold orders and click the arrow next to view order details. Click add tracking. Enter the tracking # there to report the order shipped.

OP1 year agoI am the buyer. Tracking indicates the item was delivered at the 'international hub' on Dec 11. Since then, nothing has happened. My questions are:
- is this normal?
- is this legit?
- how long do things usually sit there before being shipped to their ultimate destination?

I'm sorry, somehow my response posted to the wrong topic!
I do not know the average processing time, but 3 days does not seem like a lot considering the volume of packages during the holidays. I would expect at least a day or 2 the rest of the year, so certainly longer in Nov & Dec.
You can't submit an inquiry until the package is past due - then you can open a not received claim. You probably want an answer sooner if it is a gift, but all you can do is check the tracking each day to check for movement.
After the last expected delivery date, but no more than 30 days after the last expected delivery date, go to your purchase history - select 'I haven't received it' and follow the prompts.
The seller has 3 business days to provide tracking that shows delivery, or a refund. If he doesn't, go to your case and click 'ask us to step in'.
