How long do I keep a return?

Question

I purchased an item NIB, but there was something missing so the seller sent a replacement and was going to send a return label for the original item. However, no label was in the package. I messaged the seller on 2/5 and 2/8 and both times they said they would send it the next day but nothing. I messaged again this morning (2/15) but no response yet. How long am I obligated to keep the item sitting around my house before I dispose of it?
