If eBay removes feedback, that is unrelated to being a top-rated seller.
eBay will remove feedback if it violates policy or if you received a refund for a return or item not received case.

You received a leaking item but you didn't open a case to get your money back?
If you’ve received an item that is not as described, you have up to 30 days to open a return using the option next to the transaction in your Purchase History. The seller will have 3 business days to provide a prepaid return shipping label or else refund. If he does neither, go back to the case on day 4 and use the option to ask eBay to step in. eBay will force the refund.
If you missed that deadline, try contacting your credit card company about a chargeback.
Not sure why eBay would have removed the feedback. You might check to make sure you submitted it. Maybe you composed the feedback but didn't submit it so that it didn't "take." See if you are able to leave it again.
