How does eBay contact you?
I have been dealing with a fake tracking number scam and am working towards a resolution with my bank.
Out of the blue at 11pm pst I got contacted by an ebayer through eBay messages. They are claiming to be from eBay asking to call me to talk about the scam. The eBay name is just a regular name nothing official looking about it.
Is this normal and is there anyway to verify it is or isn’t someone from eBay? Thank you.

OP3 years agoI contacted eBay’s Facebook messenger and found out it is indeed an eBay official.
If anyone else has this concern, I would suggest contacting either eBay’s twitter page or fb page and sending them a screenshot of the message.
Too many scams going around, can’t be too careful.
