How does a seller add ebay for tax exemption purposes?
Sent in my ST3 for tax exemption, but ebay sends en email back saying the following...
Thank you for sending in your documentation for tax exemption as a buyer.
We have reviewed your documentation and need additional information in order to process this request. Please follow up with the following action(s):
Seller: Add eBay, Inc. 2025 Hamilton Avenue, San Jose, CA 95125
What does that mean and how do I do it?

On the ST3 form there is a field labeled ‘Seller’. In that space fill in eBay, Inc. 2025 Hamilton Avenue, San Jose, CA 95125.
Then send the form in again.

OP10 months agoOMG thank you! I talked with an ebay associate for about 20 minutes and they kept talking in circles, never mentioning this once. Seems so simple now that you've educated me. Thanks again!
