OP11 months agoThanks for your response.
Ok...I placed an order the other day & checked the box for a 2 year Allstate warranty @ $17.99. For whatever reason, the warranty purchase did not come through on my order confirmation or get charged to my credit card. How do I get the warranty added for my product? [ I thought of asking the seller, but hesitated as this appears to be their first transaction---one of 2 reasons I wanted the warranty. ]
Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

Mentor11 months ago@brha_5137 The seller would not be able to help with the Allstate warranty as Allstate handles the sale of their warranties and chooses what listings to add them to.
This is from the Allstate FAQ page>
After checkout, you can still purchase it from the payment confirmation page or through your post-purchase reminder email.
Please let me know if you see the option to purchase the warranty through post purchase email.
Sometimes the FAQ's pages are not up to date.

OP11 months agoI still don't see any link to buy warranty on my e-mail, purchase detail or on the Allstate page (where I do see a phone# and that I have 30 days to figure this out).

Mentor11 months ago@brha_5137 Your only option will be to contact Allstate and see what the say then.
Keep in mind that you are covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee for 30 days from the date of delivery.
Honestly the Allstate warranties are not great and they make it very difficult to receive warranty protection services.

OP11 months agoThey don't honor the warranty...or stick to a 5 day turn around...or shipping is a hassle?
I don't believe in buying such "protection" as a rule. Two facts are leading me to in this case. As mentioned, a never reviewed Seller. Secondly, because I just got burned on something I'm replacing with this order. The product just no longer worked after 3 months of seamless performance.
Regarding that product failure, I don't believe I have any recourse but I did ask the Seller for any manufacturer's warranty paperwork he might have, then I asked if he's certified for "open box" warranty.
No response received to date. I'm open to any thoughts you have.

Mentor11 months ago@brha_5137 Manufacturer warranties are only good if the item is sold from authorized Retail store, not on secondary markets.
As for Allstate... I have helped MANY buyers that have a hard time getting Allstate to honor their warranty and have to provide the Terms of Service so that they can arm themself with the information.
The only option you have is to contact Allstate and ask if you can add on the warranty. Share the item number of the listing.
