How Do You Get A Seller To Warranty His Item That Has A 5 Year Warranty And Fails In 10 Months
I Purchased A Steering Gear Box Ten Months Ago. It Has A 5 Year Warranty. I Cant Get The Seller To Respond With Me. He Asked For A Picture And I Sent 1 And He Has Not Responded After Serveral attempts On My Behalf. Where Do I Go From Here? The Part Has Started Leaking Badly From A Seal And Is Loosing Power Steering Fluid. I Would Just Like Him To warranty His part As Expressed. Please Advise. Thank You

Only manufacturers and authorized dealers for the manufacturer can issue warranties.
Random Ebay sellers cannot issue so-called "warranties" on items they are selling.
Unless the item purchased is brand new, never owned … as in from a dealer licensed to sell the product … it should be assumed there are no warranties on eBay products.

OP1 year agoThe ads says the part comes with a 5 year warranty. The seller has written to me once on message and asked for pictures. But then after I have sent him pictures and after 4 more replies, he has not gotten back with me. This is my problem.

Mentor1 year ago@johns7893 I am sorry but eBay can not force a seller to honor a warranty. The only warranties on eBay that are valid are the ones sold by Allstate. It is up to the seller if they will do the right thing or not.
You may have buyer protection from your payment method if it's not more than 180 days.
