Use the information you have to get more information.
If you are looking for a seller and you know the username, you can look up the seller's items for sale on the Advanced Search page, for instance.
If you have done business with that user in the past, check your Purchase History or feedback left or received to see if you can find a link to that user's profile.
If you only know an email address, email the user and ask for an eBay username.
If you only now a real name, search on the internet to see if the user mentions an eBay username on social media or on a personal web page.
If you know a seller sells a certain type of items in a certain area, search on eBay for those items in that area. You can enter a zip code and sort by nearest first or limit your search to a specific radius around that area.
