How do you contact someone within security on ebay. I feel recent purchase may be a scam.
I was the winning bidder on an expensive item. Methods of payment included numerous charge cards, paypal, and wire transfer. I did a payment with paypal and received a call "from ebay in NY" that the seller only accepts wire transfers. Got a refund from paypal, and received wire transfer instructions. The recipient name does not match the seller name. Went to the bank for doing the wire transfer, they questioned this. Called the number on the instructions and it is to Atlanta, not NY, without an official business answer. wire transfer was cancelled. With paypal there is some guarantee on the money, but not with a wire transfer. Cannot find how to contact Ebay security to verify if it is a legitimate seller.
