how do you check the balance of an ebay gift card without making a purchase

Question

How do you check the balance of an ebay gift card without making a purchase. It won't let you add it again or check the balance on the site. Customer service is no help whatsoever.

Hi @dkwit777

Here is what one Member shared in that regard:

Here are ways to check the balance on your gift card.

Payments

1) Your wallet on the app

- My eBay icon > Payments

2) At checkout

You can put a random item in your account, click go to checkout and then see your gift card.

(then remove that item from your cart)
