Magazines do not qualify for media mail.

You would choose the shipping method when listing your item for sale, and make sure it is listed in a category that qualifies for media mail shipping.

For USPS Media Mail, here’s the basic guide:
Books (at least 8 pages) — eligible
Magazines — NOT eligible if they contain advertisements inside
How to pick Media Mail rate:
If you’re shipping only books (no ads, no extras), you can safely choose USPS Media Mail when setting up your shipping.
If you're shipping magazines, be very careful — most magazines have ads, so they do NOT qualify for Media Mail.
For magazines, it’s usually better to use First Class Mail (if under 1 lb) or Priority Mail.
Important:
USPS sometimes checks Media Mail packages. If they find magazines with ads, they can upcharge the buyer or return the package.
