eBay has put new restrictions on selling coins. You must be an established seller with at least 90 days selling history, 100 items and $1,000 sold in the past year.
You will not be able to list your coins until you meet these requirements.

OP8 months agoNo. Unfortunately the reply received was not helpful to solve my question and issue . I am new to eBay and thus, as one would expect, have no current sales history. I have tried to post listings and they have remained Drafts for weeks. I cannot seem get an answer as to why that is the case. Cannot tell you how frustrated I am with eBay.

OP8 months agoThat sounds like a catch 22. I am not a current seller on eBay and thus i do not have 90 days selling history nor 100 items nor $1000 sold I am trying to list items for sale as a first time seller. I have made 16 Draft listings and none of hem have been listed in eBay. Are you telling me no one can become a first time seller - ever? How do I get 90 days selling history and 100 items and $1000 sold when I cannot get one DRAFT listing active? Sorry to be a bother but I think I am being told not to sell on eBay. Is that a correct assessment?

Mentor8 months agoThe requirement mentioned is a new one this year for the coin and currency category. In order to list in the category you must meet the requirements stated. So you will need to sell other items until you meet the requirements.
eBay had too many problems with new sellers listing in the coin and currency category so they had to make it only available to experienced sellers.

OP8 months agoWell that answers that. I cannot sell my father's vintage coin collection currently estimated to be valued at over $23,000 on eBay.
Any recommendations for an alternative place to sell?
