How do I use the shipping calculator to ship a pair of boxes
I have a pair of floorstanding speakers with separate boxes. How can I advertise the shipping costs?

·3 years agoIf you choose flat rate shipping, you can publish the price to the farthest location for the shipping total of the two and include a statement that you will refund excess shipping to closer locations. Then provide an approximate cost in your description. Or, you can use shipping rate tables to set a fixed shipping price for each geographical area.

Calculated shipping is trickier. Use eBay's shipping calculator to determine the shipping cost for one item. Be sure to include boxed measurements because USPS has surcharges for items over 22" and over 30".

After calculating the price to the most distant locations, and multiplying by two, look for a similar cost for one item (lots of fiddling) and use the weight and dimension for that single item in your listing. It will be a rough estimate.
Then, when you sell the pair, purchase a shipping label for the weight and dimensions of the first speaker. Choose to print another label for the same sale (there will be a warning) and enter the weight and dimensions of the second speaker and purchase the label. There will be two tracking numbers and both will be assigned to the same sale. Be sure to mark your packages "1 of 2" and "2 of 2" so the driver will know there are two in the truck to deliver.
