How do I send a seller a message?
I am trying to contact a seller, but when I click on contact seller, I am unable to type anything in the area on the right side of the screen where the message needs to be typed. Is it my computer or something with ebay?

OP1 year agoI have a feeling that there are some people that, if they didn't make changes every so often, would no longer have a job.

Rather than change for the sake of change, I suspect that someone is being required to upgrade a server somewhere, and the old code is not compatible with the new server operating system and needs to be rewritten.

Mentor1 year agoYou should be able to use the "contact" link in a seller's listing or in your Purchase History to send a message to the seller.
If you are having problems, try clicking on the "Send message" text to start typing your message.

OP1 year agoThank you for your reply. I've tried clicking on every thing possible, both right and left, double click, but it never goes into typing mode. I am not a computer savvy person.

Be sure you are clicking directly on the "Send message" text to start typing.
Try another browser to rule out a browser issue.

OP1 year agoI tried Firefox, same problem. When I click on the top of the two send message icons, it lights up and I can put a check mark in the box to send a copy to my email, but I'm never able to type a message.

Once you see that box, start typing immediately rather than checking the box first. If you check the box first, you will need to click on the empty field in order to start typing.

eBay has changed what used to be a very simple message interface and made it a confusing, non-intuitive mess; you are far from the only person having problems with this.
