how do i return an item when the system does no recognise the order number

i put the order number in the returns box but get no response

If you are searching your purchase history, make sure you are signed in to the same eBay account you used to make the original purchase. Try searching by title keyword rather than order number.

If you purchased as a guest, sign out of your eBay account and then use the link in the email that eBay sent regarding the guest order.
