How do I resolve an "item not as described" return, which is false?
Hello,
I recently sold an expensive comic book for $1300.
The buyer received it today, and did an immediate return request stating "item not as described, I want a full refund".
However, the comic book was CGC graded, so it is exactly as it was described.
I don't have an issue accepting the return, as I assume this is a case of buyer's remorse.
What I do have an issue with is covering the shipping costs to and from, which is pretty pricey with Priority Shipping, added insurance, signature at delivery, not to mention shipping supplies.
All this adds up a little in something that I don't accept fault in.
Is there a solution in accepting the return, but not the shipping costs?
Thank you.

Mentor10 months agoSorry no. Since the buyer opened an "Item not as described" case your only choice is to accept the return, send a prepaid return label and make a full refund on the return of the item. If you do not do this within three days of the case being opened the buyer can "Ask eBay to step in" and eBay will force the refund and allow the buyer to keep the item which is certainly not what you want.
