How do I report a seller who never shipped an item after 90 days? Any chance of a refund?
I bought an item back in October of 2025 but the seller never shipped it saying parts were on back order. I decided to wait a while but 5 months later it still hasn't shipped and the seller no longer responds to messages asking about status. I see feedback indicating he's screwed over other customers since and the item is no longer listed for sale. I can't report anything to eBay since the purchase has aged out of the item list in recent purchases. Even if I can't get a refund I want to report a fraudulent transaction for that seller. There's no way to reach an actual agent and the eBay Money Back Guarantee policy is looking like **bleep**.

Mentor5 months agoThe money back guarantee is for 30 days after last estimated delivery date or 30 days after you received item. You allowed the seller to string you along, anytime during that 30 day period you could have opened a case. You failed to do that so it's kind of on you for not using the money back guarantee.

It is much too late for eBay to help - you needed to file a claim within 30 days of the expected delivery date.
Call your credit card issuer and see if they can open a not received dispute for you. Many cards can help for 180 days. That will also take care of reporting the seller.

OP5 months agoThanks I was able to take it up with Paypal and they made good on it. The seller has been sanctioned for defrauding multiple customers so that's also covered.
