How do I pay for additional postage?

Mentor1 year agoAs a buyer, you are only obligated to pay what the listing displays. If the seller made a mistake, it is the seller's responsibility to pay the difference.
If you are asking as a seller, if you notice that the listing is in error, you can REVISE the listing before someone makes the purchase. After the purchase, make sure the weight and dimensions of the package are correct. If you are charged more than the buyer paid, you are responsible for that charge.
If you have already printed the label, and it is wrong, you need to VOID the label and then use the PRINT ANOTHER LABEL link and make the corrections before printing another label.

OP1 year agoI am a seller. The item is sitting at a post office in CA. The buyer paid for a 4lb package but it was actually 4.29. Can I pay for the additional postage? The buyer paid for postage originally. Does ebay take out the extra cost from my account?

Mentor1 year ago@old-friends04 Not sure if you still need this information. If you purchase the label through eBay then the USPS should have billed your eBay account. If that did not happen then let your buyer know that you will refund the $4.29 from their purchase and then they can pay the $4.29 to the post office. Apologize for the error. To issue a partial refund go to the sold listing and select send refund from the drop down menu next to the item and then select postage adjustment for the reason.
Postage due is the ONE reason a buyer can refuse a package and still be covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee. This means that if the package is returned to you that you will have to refund the buyer 100%.

Or are you the buyer?
Sellers cannot charge more shipping than stated on the listing.
If a buyer wants a shipping upgrade to a faster service then they need to ask the seller prior to paying.
