When you use Apple Pay you are either using a credit card or Apple Cash. So you don’t need to pay Apple Pay for your purchase - you either put it on your credit card or used cash you had already added to Apple Pay.

If you are using Apple Cash, you have already put the cash into your wallet via a linked debit card.

To see your purchases, go to your apple wallet. Touch the credit card you have there and you will see your most recent transactions. Touch cash to see cash transactions and your current cash balance.
