How do I handle a package that came back to me labeled Insufficient Address?
This is a first for me. I sent out a package and it was returned to me for "insufficient address, unable to forward." The address itself is exactly what is in Ebay (and it's apparently a business per Google maps). I've messaged the buyer, but there has been no response. What should I do? And if he does eventually respond with a new address, who (and how) does the shipping get paid? It's an inexpensive item, but shipping is nearly half of the cost. If I had to pay the shipping, I'd essentially be paying him to take it. How do I handle something like this? Thanks in advance.

Mentor3 years agoYou can use the option next to the order in your Orders list to cancel the transaction due to an issue with buyer's address to refund the purchase price of the item (not including shipping if shipping was stated as a separate cost).
Contact the buyer to explain that the package was returned and that you have cancelled the order and relisted the item if he still wants it. Advise .him to correct the address during checkout when he makes his new payment.
You can attach a photo of the address label and sticker from USPS to the message if you like.
